Welcome to Langdale Primary School's website. We are a two-form entry primary school in the heart of the Westlands and Clayton community in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.
We welcome children from the age of 2 in our Little Learners facility and enjoy watching them flourish and grow into unique individuals as they journey through our school, leaving us with the necessary life skills to be successful learners for life.
Our success is built upon our strong school vision that everyone in our school community is an important PART of making our school a success. Our staff, children and families show PRIDE in being a part of our school community, they show AMBITION for all, they are RESILIENT and RESPECTFUL and they work TOGETHER to achieve this.
As part of the Creative Learning Partnership Trust, we are proud to embrace their vision that children are at the centre of all that we do. Our curriculum is bespoke and is designed with our children, families and community in mind. - 06 Sep 2024Hansel and Gretel launch day Yesterday Y2 were introduced to our new class text, Hansel and Gretel. We found out that the story is about two children who, when lost in the forest, find a wonderful gingerbread house covered in yummy things. We created a human Thought Tunnel, through which Hansel and Gretel walked and were asked questions about how they felt and what they were doing as they went along. Later, we all made an origami cottage and decorated it to look like a gingerbread house. Finally, we decorated a cookie with all sorts of delicious things that might have been found on the gingerbread house in the storythen ate it! - 06 Sep 2024The Year 1 children have had a super start to the academic year and have been exploring the much loved story "The Three Little Pigs" They have been on a treasure hunt to unlock of box of goodies which included: role play costumes, masks, figures and books. They have then used their knowledge of the story to make artwork from natural resources and build dens. They have also enjoyed dressing up and retelling the story together. #bepartoflangdaleView This Post
