Welcome to Langdale Primary School's website. We are a two-form entry primary school in the heart of the Westlands and Clayton community in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

We welcome children from the age of 2 in our Little Learners facility and enjoy watching them flourish and grow into unique individuals as they journey through our school, leaving us with the necessary life skills to be successful learners for life.

Our success is built upon our strong school vision that everyone in our school community is an important PART of making our school a success. Our staff, children and families show PRIDE in being a part of our school community, they show AMBITION for all, they are RESILIENT and RESPECTFUL and they work TOGETHER to achieve this.

As part of the Creative Learning Partnership Trust, we are proud to embrace their vision that children are at the centre of all that we do. Our curriculum is bespoke and is designed with our children, families and community in mind. Sunflower competition. Just a reminder to submit your photo by this Friday, 20th September. School Council will be judging all entries next week and the winners will be announced in assembly the following week (30/9/2024).

Year 6 enjoyed exploring the context of their new text, 'The Girl Who Stole An Elephant' by Nizrana Farook, by researching Sri Lanka and presenting their findings to their peers.

Hansel and Gretel launch day Yesterday Y2 were introduced to our new class text, Hansel and Gretel. We found out that the story is about two children who, when lost in the forest, find a wonderful gingerbread house covered in yummy things. We created a human Thought Tunnel, through which Hansel and Gretel walked and were asked questions about how they felt and what they were doing as they went along. Later, we all made an origami cottage and decorated it to look like a gingerbread house. Finally, we decorated a cookie with all sorts of delicious things that might have been found on the gingerbread house in the storythen ate it! Now we can't wait to start reading the story . . .

Year 4 have had a brilliant first week back. We were welcomed into the classroom by some strange noises and eyes watching us, so we made it our mission to investigate who was behind this! Turns out is was the wolves in the walls just like our new class text!
